To complete the ESN/Device Activation on your Sprint Phone, use Sprint's Activation Page which will give you some information on what you are about to do. Ignore the $499 fee for a VeriSign account. It is not a pre-requisite for ESN/Device Activation (see circled link in image below). You may have to register as a Sprint Developer. There is no charge to do so and it takes just a moment. I often find I have to request a new password as it never wants to let me log in. Having a new PW emailed to me is a nuisence but it works.
